David Ducharme-Jones ~ Show Dates

David Ducharme-Jones' style, soulful vocals and jazz-infused blues guitar, has evolved from an eclectic appreciation for rock, blues, jazz, funk and soul. Ducharme-Jones' live performances and new album, Weeds, include these influences and a cascade of notes from his own inspirations.

Catch David around town with his band featuring longtime colleagues Michael Kopp (drums), Dave Evertson (bass) and Mark Dillon (keys). There will be music from all across the American map ... jazz-fusion, plenty of blues; and some funky R&B tunes ... all powered by Ducharme-Jones's driving guitar.

Sep 25 - Mulligans in Lakeway, Austin, Texas 9:00P

Sep 29 - Jovita's Austin, Texas 8:00P

Oct 3 - Hyatt Regency on Lady Bird Lake Austin, Texas 1:00-4:00P

"...guitarist Ducharme-Jones showcases his blues side on Weeds, drifting from the mellow slink of "Golden" to the horn-spiked groove of "Say What You Want." "Goodnight Roy B" and fusion giant Billy Cobham's "Red Baron" lay jazz backdrops for D-J's supremely smooth six-string maneuvers, while a cover of Al Green's "I'm a Ram" gets gritty." - Doug Freeman, The Austin Chronicle

Golden, the first track from Weeds and written by Ducharme-Jones, is a bluesy ballad with a haunting, laid back jazz groove, warm vocals, and lyrics that encourage us to stay in touch with our inner child as we make our way in the world.
